 Web hosting – what is it?

Web hosting can be free or paid. When we are talking about hosting the word “free” can be hardly applied. The point of it is that when you use free hosting you have to put an advertisement
of this host on your site. It means that on the Internet resource which is free a web master has to place a graphic banner or links that profit your web hosting provider. The right word here is barter. You provide a platform for an advertisement and you are provided with hosting services. All are glad but sooner or later any web master starts to think about paid hosting. And from this point the most interesting thing begins. The only solution here is to buy a dedicated server. Difference between a dedicated server and shared hosting is that nobody except the leaser of the dedi can access it. The tech support of the datacenter takes care of it in sphere of external server activities (for example, power supply, etc.). The leaser of the server can install any software on the server and only he/she decides what Internet resources allocate there. Besides, you may allocate your own dedicated servers on the tech platforms of the web hosting provider. This service is called collocation (uninterruptable power supply, tech support, guaranteed security of your equipment, etc.

But before choosing a web hosting provider for your Internet resource you have to buy a domain name. We didn’t say anything about it before because usually you buy a domain and then host it at the same company. Everything here is very easy: you make an order, indicating a domain (for example, your site) and its extension (for example, .com or .net). The main thing here is to get to know if this domain is free.

A choice of a web hosting provider is the main factor on launching your site. All in all who needs an Internet project if nobody can visit it. The aim of a web master is to provide a quick downloading of the site. It’s up to you which web hosting provider to choose. I hope this article will be useful for you.
